The intervention in the public space uses reflected sunlight to create specific, legible inscriptions. For this purpose, I created a construction consisting of small round movable mirrors that can direct the reflection of sunlight. Each mirror becomes one fragment of light, an immaterial visual sensation. By connecting the fragments, it is thereby possible to create an immaterial drawing or inscription on the wall. Depending on the weather and the position of the sun, the sign appears and disappears for a few hours a day.

In Maribor, I wrote LET IT SHINE on an old, worn facade. The inscription can be read on several levels. It certainly refers to the medium – the shining sun, but it can also be understood as an optimistic hint to passers-by. Considering my general practice and interest in the issue of public space and urban development policy, the inscription can also be understood in light of extensive beautifications that have marked cities around the world in recent decades, including Maribor.

The Ljubljana example of the work on the wall reads BREAKS OR FLASHES? referring to global events and changes we are experiencing. Are there actually breaks - radical changes, especially mental ones, or are they just flashes, short-lived moments of shared consciousness?
