Due to the invasive nature of weeds, these types of plants in urban areas are seen as aliens among “useful” and decorative plants maintained by humans.

Two parallel series of interventions focus on the treatment of plants according to culturally established aesthetic patterns.

In the first series of interventions, I added customized ceramic pots to the selected weeds, which usually grow from the cracks of roads and buildings, symbolically raising them to the level of desirable, decorative plants. The series of interventions took place in Celje, where the plants, along with the pots, are still present in a few locations.

In the second series of interventions, following the model of geometrically shaped decorative plants, I set about trimming overgrown shrubs in an urban environment. I used the architecture and urban facilities present in the background of the plant as a design guide. The optical interventions were effective if observed from the correct perspective. A series of such interventions was carried out in different locations in Ljubljana.
