RESCHEDULED FALL
If we talk about climate change in layman's terms, we have probably all heard the claim that the seasons have "shifted" a bit. The idea of the intervention was to create a sample of the atmosphere of a certain season during another season.
Firstly, I located two trees in an urban area in Ljubljana that grow on small green islands surrounded by concrete. One location included a linden tree, and the other one had a maple tree. In the fall of 2017, I then collected dry, fallen leaves from the two trees for 3 months and stored them in an enclosed space with controlled conditions. After about 6 months, in June 2018, I returned the brownish-yellow leaves under the trees where I had been collecting them.
This intervention resulted in a quite poetical, scenography-like setting. Dry leaves were lying under rich green treetops. Kids and pets enjoyed it very much. The intervention was in place for about two and a half weeks until the communal services removed it.
