In 2021, the media reported that the City of Ljubljana changed the spatial plan for the Metelkova autonomous zone. During the same period, many cultural collectives were forced to move out of their long-standing premises. Shortly after the sale of the facilities intended for cultural content at Kersnikova 4 and the sale of the premises intended for culture in the Tobačna area, the eviction of AT Rog followed.

Part of the AKC Metelkova area – a wall with volleyball and basketball courts, which is part of a completed urban complex – is expected to become an extension of the local hostel in the near future. The wall surrounding the area can be described as the Slovenian “hall of fame”, as countless graffiti and paintings have been created at this place for more than 30 years (including pioneering graffiti in Slovenia) and is a unique treasury of street art in Slovenia.

In the context of a policy unfavorable to independent culture, I used the proverb head through the wall as a statement and a mirror for such a policy. The work is interactive in nature, as the inscription carved into the wall ends with a hole in the wall, allowing for a literal, humorous demonstration of the proverb.
