A covid-19 pandemic and general lockdown were declared in Slovenia. The streets were almost empty, as were the open public spaces. Only two types of people were present in the streets – the homeless and the construction workers. When I found myself in an empty city, I could only hear the sounds of working machines and hammer blows.

I have heard from workers that they were under orders to keep their distance from each other, but at the same time had to make sure that the work is done. I was interested in how they were reacting to the current situation. They talked about their doubts, fears and views.
